Subdomain Hosting (Free)

(If someone has a domain, they might host people and give them space and bandwidth. For example, I own sixseven.org, and my hostees have their websites hosted at username.sixseven.org. With subdomain hosting, you can have access to PHP, MYSQL, and CGI, depending on your webhost)

Subdomain Hosting Tips

1) It is best if you know FTP (another way to upload files). Go to My FTP Tutorial if you don't know how.

2) Have examples of your works (like graphics or websites) ready because most hosts will only host people with web experience

3) Read the rules. Most hosts will put up a set of rules for you to abide by if you want to be a hostee.

4) Look around the host site. Is it stagnant? Is it very complicated? (Usually if the host site is very good, you have to be very good too in order to get hosted)

5) Be nice. When you have found a potential host, email them politely asking whether you can be hosted. Most hosts will tell you what to do if you wanna get hosted, like for example, I have a form for hostee applications.

6) Good luck =)
